Korean Fashion Platform “KATZ by LDF” Concludes TikTok Live Broadcast in Singapore with Great Success
Seoul, Korea – December 26, 2024 – (SeaPRwire) – Lotte Duty Free announced that from December 14 to 18, it successfully conducted K-fashion live commerce sales on TikTok Singapore Shop in collaboration with Singaporean influencers.
In September 2024, Lotte Duty Free launched a new K-fashion B2B export platform called “KATZ BY LDF”, aiming to diversify sales channels for rapidly popularizing K-fashion brands worldwide.
“KATZ BY LDF” is an online B2B platform that allows global buyers to discover new K-fashion brands at wholesale prices, regardless of time or location.
This year, in collaboration with the Seoul Business Agency (SBA), Lotte Duty Free opened a dedicated B2B showroom for “KATZ BY LDF” at its Ginza downtown duty-free store in Japan. The showroom features approximately 40 brands and over 200 products, including 24 specially curated brands selected through an SBA public contest. Leveraging Lotte Duty Free’s extensive business network, the showroom actively introduces these brands to over 50 Japanese buyer companies, providing opportunities to experience the products firsthand. Prominent Japanese distributors, select shops, and fashion trading companies, including SHIPS, one of Japan’s top three select shops, have visited the showroom. Based on the relationships built this year, the plan for next year includes encouraging bulk seasonal orders.
The recent TikTok live commerce collaboration in Singapore is an example of how “KATZ BY LDF” is actively exploring avenues to expand K-fashion’s global reach. By leveraging TikTok Commerce, which boasts 1.7 billion monthly active users (MAU), the platform extended its sales channel to a B2B2C model.
The arrangement of influencers and the broadcasting for the TikTok live sessions were facilitated by “Global EP”, the official Korean partner of Alibaba.com and Lazada, which has an extensive track record of successful influencer broadcasts.
Together with Lotte Duty Free’s “KATZ BY LDF,” they organized three live broadcasts. Each session featured three local Singaporean influencers, each with 20,000–40,000 followers, specializing in the rapidly growing fashion and beauty categories.
To build trust with local Singaporean customers regarding authenticity and Lotte Duty Free’s involvement, the TikTok live broadcast was hosted at the YTC (Young Travel Club) Lounge on the 14th floor of Lotte Duty Free’s Myeongdong Main Store.
Among the brands selected through the SBA’s Ginza showroom project, Filluminate, Alice Martha, Nooni27, and Agoodday participated in this live broadcast.
Over the three-day broadcast, the most popular brands were Letter from Moon, Nick & Nicole, and Filluminate. Given Singapore’s hot and humid climate, T-shirts featuring butterfly logos from both Letter from Moon and Nick & Nicole were particularly well-received. Additionally, Filluminate’s wide-fit denim pants captured the hearts of Singaporean customers.
Lotte Duty Free plans to continue actively promoting emerging K-fashion brands on “KATZ BY LDF” through local live broadcasts. By doing so, the company aims to create more success stories that help B2B buyers from various countries recognize and purchase these new brands.
