(AsiaGameHub) –   Texas is set to welcome a new tribal casino as the Alabama-Coushatta Tribe prepares to open its temporary facility in Leggett. The new property will offer guests a preview of what the tribe has planned before the permanent location launches.

The Temporary Property Is Set to Go Live Soon

The Alabama-Coushatta Tribe’s new temporary property in Leggett, Polk County, is scheduled to open within the coming weeks, giving visitors a taste of what to expect when the permanent facility opens.

The temporary site will be situated on existing tribal reservation land and will operate 24 hours a day. It will feature approximately 300 electronic bingo machines, along with a player’s club, a full-service deli, and a fountain drink station.

The property will include around 300 parking spaces to accommodate guest vehicles.

The Temporary Property Will Benefit the Whole Community

Meanwhile, the Alabama-Coushatta Tribe is preparing to begin construction on its permanent property starting June 18. The Naskila Casino Resort will be located directly across from the temporary facility.

The Naskila Casino Resort in Leggett will expand the tribe’s gaming offerings, enabling it to meet growing demand for gaming entertainment in the region.

The tribe already operates the Naskila Casino and Ischoopa Travel Center near Livingston, where the casino has become a popular destination for gaming and tourism. By launching a second Naskila property, the Alabama-Coushatta Tribe aims to replicate that success.

However, the benefits will extend beyond the tribe itself. According to tribal council chair Ricky Sylestine, the new property will positively impact not only the Alabama-Coushatta Tribe but also the surrounding community and Polk County at large. He stated that the temporary casino alone will generate dozens of jobs and revitalize local tourism.

The temporary casino will create 110 new jobs, strengthen local partnerships, and lay the groundwork for long-term tourism growth.

In other tribal gaming developments, the Muscogee (Creek) Nation has resumed its legal efforts to protect one of its most sacred sites in Alabama. The tribe accuses the rival Poarch Band of Creek Indians of causing alleged desecration at the site.

Elsewhere, the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina took a significant step toward establishing a casino after its governing body passed a constitutional amendment by overwhelming vote, allowing gaming operations on tribal lands.
